Funeral services for Bill Davis, 62, of Chamberlain will be 10:00 am Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at a later date.

William Lee “Bill” Davis was born on February 7, 1949 at Chamberlain to Loren Homer “Buster” and Eleanor (Mashek) Davis. He attended grade school in Omaha, NE and graduated from Chamberlain High School in Chamberlain. In 1977, Bill moved to Nebraska where he worked for Chicago Lumber Company before he returned to Chamberlain in 1985. He began working for Ron Dominiack in construction and most recently worked for Todd Orth at Brule County Lumber. Bill enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing. He also loved to build things with wood. Bill passed away on January 15, 2012 at his home in Chamberlain at the age of 62 years. Gratefully sharing his life are his mother Eleanor Brackey of Tabor, IA; two sons Marc Davis and Aaron Davis and Holly and granddaughter Lillian Davis all of Council Bluffs, IA; two sisters Sharon Joseph of Felton, CA, Debbie Lampman and Mark of Tabor, IA; two brothers Mick Davis and Joanie of Oroville, CA and Jamie Brackey of Council Bluffs, IA; three half sisters Darlene Janik and Donald of Pukwana, SD, Peggy Kindopp of Renton, WA, and Becky Rose of Rapid City, SD; nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Preceding him in death were his father Buster Davis and step father James Brackey.
